Broadfield Primary School to join The Pinnacle Learning Trust
Staff at Broadfield Primary School and The Pinnacle Learning Trust are celebrating their forthcoming partnership as Broadfield is set to join the successful local Trust from 1st April 2023.
Following the school’s recent application to the Department of Education (DfE) and consultation process, both parties are delighted that Broadfield will be joining the Pinnacle family of strong academies.
The Pinnacle Learning Trust was established in September 2017, through the long-standing, strong and effective relationship between Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC) and The Hathershaw College, two highly performing local colleges, with Werneth Primary School joining the Trust in February 2019.
This is an exciting milestone for The Pinnacle Learning Trust and its academies, which have gone from strength to strength since the Trust was established, with an approach that has seen improvements across the board. Rather than rush expansion, trust leaders have taken the time to create and establish the right systems and processes to ensure sustainable progress. As a result, this highly effective group of schools and colleges is thriving and deeply committed to improving the lives and life chances of young people.
Keen to highlight the many benefits in being part of the Trust, Patricia Stennett, Headteacher at Broadfield Primary School said:
This will give us the opportunity to collaborate, share best practice, ideas and resources. The partnership will certainly create more opportunities for our children, staff and local community. This is definitely an exciting time for our school.
Jayne Clarke, Executive Principal at The Pinnacle Learning Trust emphasised the strengths in working together, saying:
Broadfield Primary is a fantastic school, and we are delighted that staff and Governors have chosen to join our Trust. There are so many mutual benefits in working together, and our shared commitment to supporting pupils to achieve means this is a natural partnership. Broadfield has worked closely with Hathershaw and OSFC for many years, and coming together within our Trust will further enhance our opportunities to work together, with Werneth Primary too, to the advantage of everyone involved.
