The Pinnacle Learning Trust Celebrates being the Wellbeing Trust of the Year
The Pinnacle Learning Trust (PLT) is delighted to announce that it has been recognised as the Wellbeing Trust of the Year at the MAT Excellence Awards 2025.
This is an incredible achievement for PLT on its mission to improve the lives of young people across the local area. The award recognises that the trust has a genuine and impactful commitment to wellbeing for young people and staff in all phases and across all their academies. The PLT people strategy ensures this key priority is a part of strategic and operational planning. The Trust’s support for young people and their families is recognised in many forms, complementing their commitment to providing excellent education.
Trust Executive Team members from PLT were presented with the award on Thursday at the Leonardo Tower Bridge, London. It follows in the wake of recent awards from Edurio that recognise Pinnacle’s exceptional efforts in creating schools in which staff are proud to work. The trust, which includes Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC), The Hathershaw College, Alexandra Park Junior School, Broadfield Primary School and Werneth Primary School, has a very strong reputation locally and beyond for providing an excellent education to its pupils and students, and as an exceptional employer, providing strong support to leaders, teachers and support staff.
Pamela McIlroy, Trust Chief Operating Officer, said:
We were absolutely delighted to receive the MAT Excellence Award for Wellbeing Trust of the Year in recognition of the support we offer to our colleagues, our children and young people, and their parents. This award is testament to the contribution that all of our colleagues make to creating our culture of belonging and inclusivity
